Photographing newborn babies is my absolute favourite thing to do. I treasure every second I get to spend with your precious miracle.
Newborn baby sessions are best held while baby is under 2 weeks old, while they are still sleepy and curly. They change so quickly and it is so easy to forget just what they were like in those precious first days when we are sleep deprived and adjusting to life with a newborn.

As a newborn photography specialist and a qualified child practitioner I am highly trained and experienced in the safe handling of newborn babies, your baby’s comfort and safety is always at the forefront of everything I do.
I hold one of the most highly esteemed internationally recognised child care qualifications with many years experience with children and babies, Since becoming a photographer I have undertaken several training courses specific to safe newborn photography practices and I ensure that I refresh my skills and knowledge by attending further training on a regular basis. I also hold current Paediatric First Aid Certification…so your baby really could not be in safer hands.
When should I book my newborn baby photo session?
It is best to choose and book your newborn photographer during your pregnancy, just after your 20 week scan is ideal as this gives us both plenty of time to plan your bespoke session. I will hold a space for you in the 4 week period surrounding your due date, then once baby arrives we firm up a date and time and finalise colour and prop choices.
If your precious bundle has already arrived and you’ve just found me, don’t worry, just get in touch and I’ll try my best to fit you in.
I offer 2 options for newborn sessions in the studio, Bespoke Newborn Sessions and Simply Baby sessions. I have detailed a little more information about each of these sessions below.
I understand that for some new Mums getting out of the house in those first weeks can be difficult for any number of reasons. If you are unable to travel to me or would simply prefer me to visit you in your home, please get in touch and we can chat about a relaxed in home Newborn Lifestyle Photography Session.
